On Monday, as the skies stayed sunny all day and the temperature soared, we took some time to sit on the glider and walk around the property. It was so lovely! As we reached Tuesday, the euphoria had worn off and we realized it was just too darned warm. (We’d even had trouble sleeping the night before.) One more day of overly warm temperatures today and then back down to the forties, which is where they should be.
But it was nice for about 24 hours. And every speck of snow has vanished.

The landoudou girls were redressed yesterday. I took them outside for a photo but, even thought the sun was shining, the light was not cooperating. I now realize that there are no leaves on the trees or any of the plants that surround the porch and that makes it harder to take a picture. I’ll just have to wait a month or so.
I really haven’t had much of a desire to redress any of the girls. They look good in what they’re currently wearing and that’s fine with me.
I finished Practical Magic yesterday. What a perfect book! I really loved everything about it, so much so that I’m sorry it’s finished. I absolutely recommend it.
Question: Do you want an egg cup tour this year? I just realized that Easter isn’t all that far away. Let me know.
Today, we go grocery shopping. There’s very little in the larder and we’ve put it off long enough.
That is our exciting day.
But truly, quiet and as-peaceful-as-we-can-make-it days are what we most prefer. We’ve had very busy, active lives for many years, traveling for work, being gone 12 hours a day, quite often being apart while one of us was away working, and it was mostly wonderful. But now? We’re happy to be home here in our little cottage.
Stay safe.
Happy Wednesday.

It was glorious on Monday…70 with a wind, was perfect. It’s now back down to 30’s…and will sink even lower over the weekend. And snow? I have to remember it’s Spring…well almost.
I personally always enjoy your egg cups, along with your other collections…but it’s your decision. It’s probably a lot of work for you to do. It could be a diversion if you needed one…lol?
Enjoy your day! ;)
Thanks so much, Donnamae!
I appreciate it.
Stay safe.
Yes, I love your egg cups!
Thank you, Judy.
Stay safe.
We’re heading into record-breaking heat next week. My poor garden is confused. All the daffodils have bloomed and the flowers gone. The crocus are just now popping up! I love warmer weather but like you, too warm is just too warm, especially 80’s in March. And there’s talk that the fog will disappear for a few weeks. Being a life-long West Coaster, I expect and love the fog.
An egg cup tour would be welcome. I enjoy seeing them.
Oh, I love fog. I hope it doesn’t disappear! I was also used to fog at this time of year when I lived in San Diego.
Stay safe.
Love seeing your egg cups. Just repost the pictures from previous years. Whose to know? Well, we are paying for yesterday’s beautiful warm and sunny weather. It’s cold and raining. On a happier note, our rhubarb is beginning to sprout. Your girls are very cute in their new outfits. Hugs, Elaine
It’s going to be more than 20 degrees cooler here tomorrow.
Thanks, Elaine.
Stay safe.
am sure you’re glad the snow is gone. happy for you that spring is on the way!
i think your egg cup tours are lovely, but also they must be a lot of time and work for you (thank you). i say you please decide if you want to do another tour. if so, great! and if you choose not to, we will understand and can always go back through your blog to find previous tours!
walked through a snow-globe for an hour this morning and later drove in it, too. loved it!!! it came so fast and full that it affected visibility (never love that), our coats were packed with snow *almost* as if we’d been on everest and our feet were cold and wet (yes, i loved that, too). and now that snow has stopped and is all melted. kind of like the winter i lived near denver.
time to get stuff done. too bad all i want to do right now is knit and eat. :/ best i get going.
stay safe.
