Husband and I took a little trip today; one we’d been planning since I knew I was going to be mentioned in Romantic Homes. We wanted to see the issue on the magazine rack at the bookstore. So off we went to Barnes and Noble.
We oh-so-casually walked to the magazine rack and what did we see?

What the…?????
At least this gentleman appreciates my blog.
Alright, you’ve redeemed yourself.
We celebrated. Don had some coffee, I had a decaf mocha frappacino and a cupcake.
When I was checking out, the young woman behind the counter very sweetly said, “Are you sure you want all these copies?” So I had the perfect opportunity to say, “Yes! I’m in that magazine!”
Don was adorable. He proudly told anyone who was near us in the House & Home section that I was featured in that issue. What a guy…

Oh wow!! I love B&N on a regular day but was super excited to get “your” mag there too! They have a Strawberry frozen lemonade right now I ADORE!!! It is awesome. Again, congratulations. Your trip sounds exactly like mine when I got published in two Somerset issues. My husband and I went to B&N and did the exact same thing, with one exception……..we didn’t take pictures. My sweet hubby told everyone he could about me, but I didn’t have to buy the issues because Somerset sends them to you gratis if your published. I did ask for a discount, though, thinking that I should absolutely get that for being published….alas, no deal. I’m so happy for you, and shall look you up next time I’m at the book store…..which is almost weekly.

Attempted to purchase a copy at the local {25 minute-1 way fighting every S-L-O-W tourist imaginable} bookstore… What a sight… Sophie and I searching for the magazine section??? Still in shock they DON’T carry magazines any longer! Say what??? Rural NH doesn’t offer a Barnes & Noble {2hr. one way} or even Borders {100 mile round trip}.
Tip for Don: Next time -WRAP- the magazine your suppose to be viewing around actual magazine your viewing! Same expression of enthusiasm required!!! {LOL} Nice to see my husbands in good company!
