I repurposed some big storage baskets to corral all the stuff under the work table. Now, if I can get rid of the big Beacon Hill kit box on the other side of the table, I’ll be happy. I just have to make sure I don’t need anything else from the box before it goes into retirement in the shed.

My oil paints. Yes, I know I should paint again.

Jumping Jack repair. His foot need to be reattached.

Awaiting some wallpaper. It should arrive on Monday.

Lanyards and more lanyards.
Mostly, I’ve been crocheting. But I’m going to wait a while until I post another update.
It will hit 52 degrees today. Then back down to the 30s for 3 days, with a wee bit of snow. Then back to the forties. That’s the way it will be as we move into March. Spring is on its way, but there will be the usual ups and downs as winter tries to hold on for a bit longer.
We watched Tender Mercies last night in homage to the late, great Robert Duvall. It’s one of Don’s favorite movies and, for some reason, I’d never seen it. What a gem! Quiet and beautiful and heartbreaking and life affirming – with wonderful performances from everyone, especially Duvall.
Tonight, Shane (on TCM) and tomorrow, To Kill a Mockingbird – another homage to Duvall, who will always be Boo Radley to me.
Stay safe.
Happy Saturday.

You have certainly had a busy exciting life, Claudia, and your lanyards are proof!
Hope you have a pleasant weekend.
Thanks so much, Ellen.

I enjoyed the photos ‘around the studio’. Tender Mercies what a lovely film. I loved Robert Duvall. It’s just another sad day in the world. I’m going to find a book to disappear in.
Good idea, Linda.
Stay safe.
I love seeing view into peoples’ special spaces. Lanyards, repair projects, paints. . . all the things that bring good memories or get us out of our up-and-down winter. I hope today is cozy and lovely!
Thank you so much, Jeanie.
I wish the same for you.
Stay safe.
The doll house is beautiful!
Lucky you; it was 32F here.
Time for me to stop reading the news… I amd starting “The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane”
The news gets worse on an hourly basis. Protect yourself, Betsy.

Claudia, I’m looking forward to the tender swings of Springtime. New life is just what I need right now–sweet violets, mini-daffs, crocus. Soft breezes, pitterpat of raindrops, longer days. Lilypad Pond is officially ice-less (so may we all be) and the surviving goldfish are basking in the rays. Perhaps the croakers will be serenading us soon.
Alas, it means we also must reattach a downed gutter, repair a roof leak and get some tree quotes.
Winter hibernation is over. It’s time to stretch and send out some leafy tendrils and look to the future.
Breathe!
Winter hibernation isn’t over here, Roxie – but I can see it on the far horizon. And that’s a good thing.
Thanks so much.
Stay safe.
