Baseboards and Shots

October 16, 2026 at 8:59 am by Claudia

We went to get our Covid and Flu vaccinations on Wednesday. I was going to wait to get the pneumonia. I didn’t want to get all three of them at once. But both of us ended up getting the pneumonia, too. That night, I didn’t sleep a wink. I was sore and achy and felt wired. I napped for two hours yesterday, but that barely made a dent. Don also felt achy and sick yesterday. Today, we’re feeling better, though our arms are still quite sore. I won’t get all three of them at once again! I think I’d much rather wait and stretch them out.

So I’m sitting here trying to wake up because I had that kind of sleep you get after you’ve been sleep deprived – almost a drugged sleep. But I’m grateful!

It’s raining today. Tomorrow night it is supposed to go down to 29, so that will be the end of the zinnias, etc. Since it is going to be warmer after Sunday, I’ll transport all my plants to the shed, which worked out nicely last time.

On Tuesday, I painted and cut baseboards for most of the rooms in the Beacon Hill.

I still have to add baseboards to the den and also some ceiling trim in some of the rooms.

And, decide on the paint color for the exterior.

Stay safe.

Happy Friday.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
