There I am, up to something or other. I’m not sure how old I am in this picture, but I know how old I am today.

It’s my birthday today.

It’s a big one. If you’ve read this blog for any length of time you can probably guess. I’m rather stunned that I’ve reached this milestone, but here I am! I feel much younger, but on paper? I’m most definitely a Senior.

Thankfully, I’m with my husband on this birthday. I don’t think I would have liked spending this landmark birthday alone, though I’ve certainly been alone on my birthday in the past. I’m grateful I could get away to Chicago. I already have my present – that beautiful citrine ring. We’ll spend time together during the day and then Don will go off to his show tonight.

Here’s to being young at heart. I’m all for it.

  38. As one who turned 70 last month, I can assure you, it’s just a number. You’re only as old as you feel. Today, I’m about 35. Tomorrow? Who knows. Have a wonderful birthday with your Don, and enjoy it all.

  42. Happy Happy Day!! We are lucky when we celebrate another one… it is sadly something denied to many. I am 2 years up on you, but I firmly believe it is mind over years.

    So glad you are able to be with Don today. We had clouds this morning, too, but the sun is out now. Hope it is moving your way. But, BOY, is it ever cold and windy!! Cooking for Thursday has begun here today. fun……..?? Have a grand Birthday Tuesday!

  43. Once again, a very Happy Happy Birthday, Claudia! And age is just a state of mind – so in your case, you’re still probably about 29, right? A very wise & experienced 29 though. Seriously, wouldn’t you have loved to have known at 29 what you know now? I sure would’ve. I’ve been telling my now 25-year old niece for years that the first kid who really listens to & takes the advice of their “elders” is gonna be the next Oprah!   61. A belated Happy Birthday, Claudia. Only first getting on the computer today at this late hour of 11:30pm PST. Really hot day here today in SoCalif. Even at the beach, not just inland. The local forecasters are saying Los Angeles and environs will have the hottest Thanksgiving on record (we’ll break the record from the year 1933 is what I think I heard them say). Projected high tomorrow (Weds) is 94 degrees. Apparently we’ll have the hottest temperature in the entire U.S. for Thanksgiving Day. Ugh.

  63. Happy Birthday, and many more. I just turned 65 on the 13th. I lost my husband of 39 years
    on March 23 so this was a hard one.
