The Black Hole

July 27, 2009 at 10:17 am by Claudia

If you need me, I have disappeared into the black hole that is our office/spare bedroom/husband’s recording studio. I am taking advantage of said husband being away for part of the day so that I might begin to sort through all the stuff that is in there. It is currently a holding pen for boxes of books I used in San Diego, mail that needs to be saved, 4 guitars, a mandolin, speaker, mike stand, microphone, a bed, baskets of stuff, a desk, the other computer, my printer from San Diego, a chair, winter coats….we sound like hoarders, don’t we? We’re really not. I just have to find some way to organize everything that makes sense and makes the room more functional. Any ideas?

If I don’t show up by dinner time, send someone in there for me.

    Good Morning Claudia!
Isn’t it funny how we always seem to get more done when they are NOT home. I throw things out, and DH gets them back out of the trashcan. We are constantly battling over what is and is not junk. I say if we haven’t used it, I mean ever used it get rid of it. How can you need something you never use? Have a wonderful morning, and get some cleaning done while the cat is away. Good luck, Claudia. Take advantage of the mood to get through it all! I don’t have any suggestions since I’m sitting here with all the excess stuff from my studio and wondering just where to put it. I think I will be following your lead later on this week. I’ll check back at dinner time to see if you’ve come out yet!

He he he, I saw your comment on my blog so I know you didn’t get “lost” in the black hole! I just know you found some creative ways to display and/or store everything. Hugs, Marsha

    Hi Claudia!

Here is a deep spiritual thought:

Make a margarita and forget about it!

Thats the sum total of my wisdom on cleaning up!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
