Good morning! It’s -1° as I write this. The weekend has been bitterly cold, but the ‘warm up’ will start today as we hit the mid 20s. Only a low of 16° tonight – positively balmy! Even though it was frigid yesterday, the sun was shining on the snow and it was quite beautiful out there.
We watched It’s a Wonderful Life last night and, of course, I cried. Tonight, we watch A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim, and tomorrow, The Bishop’s Wife.
Cubby Christmas:
I have a short video of them on my IG Blythe feed from a week or two ago, but I am unable to post videos here.
Anyway, I love decorating their shelves. The view from my chair here in the den makes me smile. The cubbies are directly across the room from me and the Christmas tree is just to the right. Not bad!
I don’t have the energy to undress them all and put them in Christmas sweaters this year. It takes hours to transform and pose them, so we’re taking a break from that.
I’ll be back with a message on Christmas morning. I hope you are ready for the holiday, enjoying the decorations, spending time with family and friends. I’m especially thinking of blog readers Chris K., Brenda in Florida, Vicki in California, and Kathy, who is taking care of a family member who is seriously ill. I know they are unable to comment because of illness or commitments elsewhere. Sending love to all of you. If there are more that I’m missing, please let me know.
Much love to you.
Stay safe.
Happy Monday.
Ellen D. says
Merry Christmas to you and Don, Claudia.

That’s a room with a view…the girls and the Christmas tree! Very cozy! Brrr, sounds cold! It’s early morning here and it’s 60°….lots of rain tomorrow, then dry, hopefully, for Christmas. Stay warm!
Claudia says
I’ve been up since 6:30 – It’s now 9 am and my hands are still cold.
Stay safe, Barrie.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas! Today is the 18th anniversary of my daughter and son in law’s wedding and 9 years since I lost my brother. Always a day of joy and sadness for me. Still tomorrow I will spend the night with my Grands and be blessed by Christmas morning joy. Tiger is so grown up now at almost 14 and Scout will soon be 10. Enjoying all the moments with them I can. Missing my Mom but I know she, Dad and Richard are together!
Claudia says
Yes, a sad day. I understand. Have a lovely time with your family, Linda.
Merry Christmas!

The girls look great, as do the dollhouses, your tree, and the rest of your charming home. I have been sick for about a month (!) but am finally getting better. I had a crummy virus that turned into my asthma. I was able to get most everything done however, ordering online and doing things at home when I had energy. I hope you and Don stay well and I wish the merriest of Christmases!!
Claudia says
Oh, I’m so sorry you’ve been ill, Jenny. Thank goodness for online shopping! Stay safe and Merry Christmas, Jenny.

Happy Christmas, Claudia, Don. Hope the weather doesn’t dampen your enjoyment of this time of year. Get that kettle boiling and even if you don’t drink tea, a mug of hot water will warm your hands wrapped around it. I’ve been drinking lots of tea and milky coffee just to warm my hands, though it’s practically tropical here in the 50’s compared to where you are.
Claudia says
I have a heating pad on my back much of the time, so that helps!
Merry Christmas, Wendy.
