Several of these beauties are now lying on the ground from all the rain we had over the past two days. I’ll go check on them later and see if I can somehow prop them up.
I’m about 1 hour from finishing my puzzle – just have to fill in some background pieces. When I was sitting on the sofa with my sweetie this morning, I decided to count how many 1000 piece puzzles I have assembled this year. The answer is: Fourteen. I’ve done fourteen puzzles since I started my first (which came from John Derian) on January 12th. I have two more on the way, so I guess we’ll eventually get to sixteen. I’ve been gathering all my puzzles together to drop off at my friend Heidi’s house. She works with a community-based organization that has a resale shop. I asked her if the community organization she works for would like them for their resale shop and she answered with a resounding yes. I feel good about donating them.
I didn’t see our wren at all over the past two days, but that makes sense because it was raining. I started to worry that he may have given up. But no! He’s back this morning, adding more nest building material. The other day I watched him face the opening and look at it, then go around to the side of the trailer to check that out, then the other side, then around back, and finally, he hopped up on top of the trailer and looked out. It was adorable.
I had a great coaching session with my friend yesterday. I wrote to him afterward and thanked him for his loyalty and for giving me the chance to work for the first time in over a year.
The sun has come out and I’m feeling grateful.
Tomorrow? We reach the two-week-since-our-second-shot mark. That means….drumroll…we’re headed to our favorite bookstore! We’re so excited. We’ll also walk around the charming town of Rhinebeck – we’ll walk on actual sidewalks and look in actual shop windows. There’s also a large antique shop there, and we may stop there as well. On the other hand, we may be too overstimulated by a simple bookstore visit. Who knows?
Stay safe.
Happy Tuesday.

Hi,
I cannot explain my emotional reaction to your dear wren checking out his/her new home but it brought me to tears. They were happy tears. Thank you for that moment of joy..
Take Care.

I hope the wrens choose your little nest. It’s so adorable, how could they not?
Perhaps you will find Zoom another possible way to work. There has to be work for the actors for you to coach though. I believe this pandemic will have a lasting impact on some areas of life. Work from home, telehealth, etc.
I am so glad you hit the 2 week vaccinated mark. I will be looking forward to hearing about your outing tomorrow.
Stay safe

Thank you, Marilyn!
I’m looking forward to it!
Stay safe.

I was wondering if that wren was feeling…pride of ownership about his new home? I’d like to think so.
I’m glad you got to do some teaching over zoom these past few days. I hope other actors will reach out to you, and this is just the beginning. It has been far too long for all of you.
Oh happy days…tomorrow is the start of a new beginning. Hope you have a good adventure…stay safe! ;)
Claudia says
Far too long! I want the same for Don. At least I’ve had a little taste of it. He hasn’t.
Stay safe, Donna!

I am so excited for you to be able to go out like “regular” people. We get our second shot on Friday, then the countdown begins when we can go to other places besides doctor offices. I love you picture of the daffodil how great.

I am so excited for your bookstore excursion! What great fun it will be. Long awaited and well deserved!
What a happy day, with your sweet wren at work and a good work experience. I trust that in due course, things will gently come back together. I don’t see it being the same for quite some time, but better than now. I hope so.
Have a wonderful road trip!
Claudia says
It won’t be the same but I understand how my actor friends feel now when they get to perform, even via video or zoom. We’re craving that.
Stay safe, Jeanie.

I’m so impressed by your 1000-piece total! We don’t complete nearly that many puzzles.
Have a wonderful time in the bookstore as you celebrate immunity. I feel like the vaccines have opened a space for the arts to regain their flair–I certainly hope so! I’ve mourned all the lost events over the past year.
Mr. Wren makes me so very happy. I’m looking forward to his success!
Enjoy!
Claudia says
So have I. So many things lost. I just hope most smaller venues can recover – it will be difficult.
Stay safe, Roxie.

Claudia — Wow !! I feel great for completing ONE puzzle every 6 months!!!! I have several large piece puzzles I am taking to a local nursing home–their residents seem to prefer the larger pieces. am hoping the wren will soon have a family to ‘crow’ about — all that work should not go unrewarded. enjoy your trips. stay safe and healthy
Claudia says
I bet the larger pieces are both easier to handle and to see.
Stay safe Linda!
