As I started my trek upstairs this morning to write this post, I realized I had no new photos to share with you. So I grabbed my camera and went outside.
Oh, the morning light was beautiful! Its rays were shooting down through the shadows of the early morning, softening every tree, flower, and blade of grass.
A lovely way to start the day, topped off by a phone call from Little Z. Oh, I love that boy.
Happy Sunday.
Beautiful Sunday morning in your garden. I know those calls from Little Z just make you and Don so happy!
hugs,
Linda
They do. Today’s was long and involved – all about a helicopter and a trip we would take on it with Z.
Beautiful photos on this soft morning. I can even hear the stillness there. Looks like you’ll be seeing morning glory blooms soon. Found my second bloom this morning and at least two more buds ready to unfurl. The day ahead is empty and full of possibilities.
I checked for buds, but nothing yet. Sometime this month for sure!
Lovely morning shots! Hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
The same to you, Sue!
Lovely morning pictures of your gardens, Claudia!! I love your butterfly bush right outside your window!! Bet you get some beautiful visitors!! Enjoy your Sunday!!
Thank you, Francine! Have a lovely day.
I’m sure your chat with Little Z was the perfect way to start your day! ;)
It was. It was quite long and full of fun. He is so smart and we have a lot of fun with him!
The garden is so nice, just love it. Seems we have a few more baby bunnies running around outside. Yesterday afternoon we had three bunnies lounging in the back yard. This morning I caught a little thief running along the top of the fence. One of the squirrels has now decided he likes the tomatoes we are growing and he had a big one in his mouth!! Oh well, what are you going to do. If you grow it they will come! Have a wonderful day!!
hugs
I bet that squirrel looked adorable with the tomato in his mouth!
Ethereal. What time was it?
It was around 8 am, Vicki.
Oh how I love the play of sunlight and shadows on the yard in the early morning. I see your Hollyhocks are still hanging in there. As usual your pictures of your garden areas are amazing. It’s a little cloudy in our little corner of the world today. Have a sweet day!
The hollyhocks are hanging in there, yes, but they are just about at the end of their bloom time.
Aren’t early summer mornings wonderful?
They are. They are magical!
Such a beautiful time of the year. :-)
It really is, Regula!
Little Z always raises your spirits! You have so many places on your land that you can go for a quiet sit and reflect. How perfect.
Little Z is the highlight of each and every day. He makes us smile.
Those pictures will do your soul good on some awful January day. They are gorgeous!!
I have come to the conclusion that I must do something to stunt the growth of my Morning Glories as they don’t ever bloom until later in Aug or into Sept. Makes me crazy when I see everyone with a plethora of MG’s just blooming away in July!!!! And some of them live in the northern half of the country as do I. Wish I knew the magic formula!!
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
Mine don’t bloom until later in August, either. They’re growing and climbing, but no blooms yet. I used top soil this time and they took off much faster than the ones in the chicken wire fence garden, which haven’t done much of anything. We started late, though. We didn’t start planting the memorial garden until the end of May.
I always enjoy visiting visiting your yard. Your previous post with the colors of purple was gorgeous. There can never be enough purple in my eyes.
Have a great week!
Thank you, Patty!
How calm and fresh everything looks in the morning light…I know that Little Z makes you smile..I smile just thinking about him every time you say his name!
He’s such a neat kid with a terrific imagination. We have such fun playing games with him!
Your gardens are still gorgeous. The heat has about done all of mine in. We did have a wonderful rain all day yesterday.
Have a good week friend.
Judy
So glad you had some rain, Judy. The heat in your neck of the woods is pretty bad this time of year!
Wonderful shoots! You have such a nice garden. Bet it is a pleasure to get up in the morning and all those welcome you!
Thank you, Sydney!
