Fathers Day

June 21, 2009 at 2:12 am by Claudia

Not long after we moved into Mockingbird Hill Cottage, my father surprised me with this painting. He had painted it from a photo I sent him. I am lucky to have several of my Dad’s paintings, but this one may be my favorite. He knew what a dream come true it was – finally living in our own home – and this painting is priceless to me. Happy Fathers Day, Daddy. I love you always.

Happy Fathers Day to this guy – my husband – the father of Scout and Riley. He is the best Dad and has taken over all the care of our babies while I have had to be away. I’m coming home, soon, honey – you’ll get a little bit of a break. I love you.

Happy Fathers Day to my father-in-law, Lee – my brother-in-law, John, my brother-in-law, Ron, my nephew-in-law, Steve and two of my nephews; Eric, who’s first child is due in August, and Jeff, who is the proud Daddy of a new Pomeranian puppy. And Happy Fathers Day to all the loving Dads everywhere.

I’ll bet you will treasure those paintings forever! My Mom is an artist, and her paintings are so meaningful. Love the tribute/photo to your hubby and extended family!

Claudia, what a beautiful painting of Mockingbird Hill Cottage, and so much more special becaue it was painted by your dad. And I absolutely love the photo of your hubby with Scout and Riley! Is that near your property? How BEAUTIFUL that area looks! Hope you are enjoying your last bit of time in CA… Donna @ An Enchanted Cottage

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
