More egg cups:

A leaping bunny.
Sorry for the repeat, I just wrote about this cup in the previous post.
Two adorable chicks playing on a teeter-totter just outside their house – another of the window egge cups.
A bunny dressed in orange and blue holding up an egg cup.

A gentleman egg cup. This is a tall egg cup. In some versions of this egg cup, there are holes in the head that enable it to function as a salter. Mine doesn’t have them. Also, he’s supposed to be holding a walking stick, but that was missing when I purchased it.
A beautiful goose egg cup from France. I found it in a local shop and I was amazed that it hadn’t been damaged.
A little cherub holding an egg cup. Love this one.
I’m running a little late after my second night of not enough sleep.
Let me know if you’re still interested in seeing the egg cups – there were only two comments on Wednesday.
Stay safe.
Happy Friday.

Happy Spring! One daffodil is blooming for me today. First one this year! :)
Hurrah!
Thanks, Ellen.

I for one always enjoy the egg cups, and it’s fun that we have the same amazement that the goose wasn’t damaged during its life before you. Hope your sleep improves!

Thank you so much, Ceci.

Is there anyone who doesn’t love bunnies and chicks? You could show that leaper over and over! The gentleman is pretty cool too. Do you still add to your collection? Or have you run out of room?!
I only add if I see something special. There isn’t a whole lot of room left.
Thanks, Jeanie.

I’m still interested in seeing the cups. I especially like the stories that go with them. Hoping you’ll get a good night’s sleep soon. A nap may be in order for today.
It’s been very hot here. We started our veg garden in two of the raised beds with onions, lettuce, chard and strawberries, and supplemented the herbs, which are in pots. The nursery we frequent didn’t have tomatoes and much of anything else. I think this faux-spring weather has brought the gardener out in many of us. We’ll look for tomatoes and some other veg in a couple of weeks. I also planted more pollinator/hummingbird friendly flowers. I hope it doesn’t suddenly get cold!
I hope it doesn’t either!
I have to hold off for quite a while. It’s been so cold here.
Thanks so much, Wendy.

Love seeing them! The cups are so cheerful it makes me smile.
Thanks so much, Tracy.

I am enjoying the egg cups, Claudia. I have three or four vintage egg cups out in my kitchen, so I guess three is a collection! I don’t see the wonderful figural cups as much any more when I am out antiqueing. So thank you for showing yours.
Three is definitely a collection!
Thanks, Judy.

I love the egg cups and look forward every year to seeing them again. Hoping you get some sleep.
Me too!
Thanks so much, Linda.

hej, claudia.
i greatly enjoy seeing/learning about people’s collections and find your egg-cups very sweet, but i also want you to continue or stop the egg-cups tour based on what you want to do, your time, what you want to share. thanks for all that you share here, egg-cups definitely included.
hope you get more sleep and the car inspection went well!
i had my annual vision check and eye (health) exam last week. went okay. went in this morning after seeing flashes of light and a floater that looked like cooked-down-wlity spinach in one eye. probably age-related decline in fluid that helps keep retina in place, and no sign of retina problems. that was good to hear. but now, about four hours later, the vision in my other eye is blurry (the dilation drops burned a lot, especially in that eye). not good! will definitely be calling them in a few minutes. maybe i should not have written this until after i hear what they say, but wanted to reply about the egg-cups.
more later.
hope you, don and everyone else have a nice day. stay safe.
kathy
Can inspection went well, Kathy.
I understand the worries about vision. I have had worries about flashes of light, and tiny little specks that are there all the time, and have been told they are part of aging. Yuck. I hope your worries are eased.
Stay safe.
thanks, claudia. and sorry you’ve had to deal with floaters and flashes of light. not fun.
the eye doctor yesterday said basically what you did … those flashes of light are caused by shrinking/moving of the vitreous fluid in my eye, due to aging. i go back in a month to re-check because he wants to make sure it is still the fluid changing and not the retina coming loose/causing those flashes and worse. so do i and appreciate his follow-up!
vision in other eye still blurry, but not as much as yesterday. was told that could be result of dilation and last up to three days. or maybe it’s more change due to age, not noticed for wearing my glasses 99% of the time.
anyway, thanks again and here’s to good health and age.

I love your egg cup tours! It is amazing how creative the artists were in making these little treasures.
I know! They are so charming.
Thanks, Emily.

Oh, yes, please continue with your parade of egg cups. We need something fun and whimsical to take our minds off of world events. Hope you sleep better tonight. Hugs, Elaine
Thank you, Elaine.
I will keep going!

I love seeing your egg cups. I look forward to seeing them every year :)
Thanks so much, Carol.

I enjoy seeing your egg cups in the lead up to Easter. Apologies for not commenting until now as I have been away for few days in a town called Barnard Castle. It’s in County Durham in the North East of England and to get there we went across James Herriot country.
The flat we stayed had an inscription date of 1727! The Castle was a stronghold of Richard the Third (War of the Roses). I love history.
Happy Friday
Sounds like a lovely trip, Dee Dee!

I love seeing your egg cups. I wish they could talk and tell us where they have been and with whom. Thank you for taking the time to show them.
Take Care,
Kaye

Happy Spring! Good day for egg cups.
It’s hard to believe we had a blizzard 4 days ago….and now it’s in the low 60’s. Hope it’s warming up too, at the cottage. ;)
Unbelievable weather, Donnamae!
It’s barely warming up. Too slow for my taste.
Stay safe.
I am loving your egg cup collection, having never seen these adorable cups before. How lucky you are to have found so many interesting examples. Now you should write a book. Happy Spring!
Thanks so much, Colleen.
