Hi everyone,
Sheila emailed me today to say she was getting offensive spam from my blog – through the comment email address. I also got this same spam today. Can you let me know if you received this? I’m trying to track down the source of it. I apologize if you have received it. For the time being, I’m going to approve all comments that come through the blog.
To clarify, I have a spam plugin on this blog that takes care of spam sent to this blog, this is spam sent to people who have commented on my blog – it looks like a legitimate reply to a comment that is coming from me.
It may have been sent to those of you who check the comment reply box on the comment page.
Not sure whether the blog has been hacked or my email account has been hacked. I’ve deleted Comment Reply.
I haven’t received any spam from your email. Actually, your email goes into my spam and I have to go in and find it. I’ve approved for it to come through but apparently I have to approve EACH one. It’s a hassle so I’ve been meaning to talk to our provider to see if I can get each “email address” approved or somehow get it to come through. Happens with Bloglovin’ also. You can’t just approve one and all the rest come through; I have to approve each and every one. A hassle but I’ve been to busy to talk with cableone recently. I’ll get on it in the next few days though.

I had an email this morning from you this morning in response to my comment on your post about the rain. It was fine and haven’t had anything else come thru. Hopefully it’s not a virus and all will be well soon!

I use to get a lot of spam in my comments but I turned off the anonymous and I rarely receive spam. But your wordpress doesn’t seem to have that choice. Haven’t been on much lately, but clear here!

Nothing here either. I did get a reply to comment thread I subscribed to on a different blog — sent it on to the blog owner. Is there a way you can disable comments on older blog posts? That is, if you can tell whether or not its as the result of a recent post.

On vaca so have not commented recently, but had no problems in the past.
We had a similar experience, try changing your email password. That solved our problem.
