I’m writing this post on Sunday afternoon because I’ve had it with the delay in dealing with the malware. Bluehost thinks the malware was removed, Sucuri still sees it on a scan. Trying to get consistent support from Sucuri is maddening. It’s been 3 days and I still don’t know for sure whether the malware is gone or not. Scream!
And because my host now has 2-step verification, Sucuri can’t get on the blog without a code – which is sent to me or is never sent. One code was sent to me today and I immediately signed on to Sucuri and entered the code in the malware removal chat but by the time the technician got it, it had expired. And then another technician took over and I said, Are you kidding me? I have to explain all of this again? And now it’s four hours later and I’ve heard nothing.
So I’m taking some steps. I’ve been thinking about this for a while. I’m starting a ‘version’ on the blog on Substack because I can no longer handle these hacker issues. I never could, really, but now? It’s impossible. The blog itself doesn’t expire until next June, but I want a backup because at any time, I might pull the plug. Also, it could continue past next June but on a ‘whenever I want to post, I will post’ schedule.
Substack Link.
Hopefully, I’ll be back with you on Wednesday with problems solved.
Stay safe.
Happy Monday.

So sorry to hear that you are still struggling with this. Hope it is better soon. Have a good day.
Thank you, Mary Ellen.
Very nice, Claudia! I’m signed up!
Thanks, Jeanie.
Good Morning Claudia. I am sorry you are having blog issues. It should be easier than this, right? I don’t know anything about other blog types… (I’ve stuck with blogger over the years) so I have no help to offer. I am not sure what is involved with the “second blog”…. I went to the link, but it didn’t give me all of what you posted, and there was no scroll or “read more” button when I went over…! I hope it doesn’t come to leaving this venue any sooner than you had planned. I will be sad to lose track of your postings! I’ve just had a “debit card” compromised at my bank… so I will be without that convenience until a new one arrives in a week to ten days…! And this is the week I have to drive to Boston for my son’s medical stuff….. not fun. I hope you get the security sorted out soon!
You have to click on the title of the post, Betsy. That’s just a teaser. I think I neglected to put a subscribe button on the post. I will the next time.
Stay safe, Betsy.
I’m sorry that you have had all these problems. If Substack works better….go for it. Hoping for things to work out…no matter which way you go. Enjoy your day! ;)
Thank you!
Sorry your tech has become such a pain! Hate when that happens. Claudia, just do what you must, let us know how to follow, and I’ll be there along with everyone else whenever you feel the urge to let us know what’s up with you. We’ll be here.
THank you!
that must be terribly frustrating for you, and it’s terrible service to you. sorry you have to deal with all that. i, too, hope you’re back here on wednesday, but think a substack back-up sounds good, better for you. thanks for the update and link, for dealing with those computer hassles for our benefit. in the meantime and every day, i hope you can spend plenty of time not with some computer problem, but only with those pretty flowers, your hobbies and your sweetheart.

Thank you!
Life is too short to deal with technology frustrations! Especially since I’m convinced that” user friendly” should be the first parameter…ah well, if I ran the world.
I’m following you over to Substack. Something I’ve needed to get onto and you have me that much-needed shove.
Stay cool!
Thank you!
