First off, a bit about Don. He deleted his old YouTube channel (because he does things like that) and has started a new one. The back story: the other day, a song just ‘came’ to him. He wrote it, recorded it in one take, and posted it on Facebook. It has had an amazing reaction, from all sorts of people, including me. I reposted his post to my feed and the raves continued.
Anyway. I love this song. It is powerful in its simplicity. Here is the link to his YouTube channel. And here is a link to a free download. It’s called “I am a Rocket.” I hope you like it.
He amazes me.
Now, back to egg cups.

On the left: a chicken pulling a cart. This one has the original sticker on it, “Made in California.” Love this color combination.
In the middle: a goose pulling a cart. Beautiful, in a lustreware finish.
On the right: an official Carleton Walking Ware egg cup. From England.

Three enchanting egg cups:
On the left, a bunny rabbit outside his cottage home. Another “window” egg cup. I love these colors.
In the middle: one that I found last year, around the same time I was posting the egg cup tour. It’s marked Japan and it’s another variation of the bunny rabbit with a cottage home. This one is much bigger than the first, as you can see. It’s beautifully painted and has a lot more detail. Made in Japan.
On the right: one of my favorites – two rabbits holding up an egg cup. Another find during my first few months of collecting.
I think we’re about to move into non-figural egg cups on Wednesday.
Stay safe.
Happy Monday.

That’s a thoughtful song. So much sadness in our world right now.
Almost too much sadness to take in, Ellen.
Thank you so much.

I love the figural egg cups — and the bunnies especially!
Thanks so much, Jeanie.

First off…Don’s song needs to go viral. It is brilliant! Reminds me of songs during the Vietnam war….very powerful, very truthful.
I spent a short time perusing egg cups this morning,,..just to see what’s out there. There is no comparison to the collection you have amassed. And surprisingly…and very few figural ones. Yours all have so much personality, including today’s selection.
Enjoy your day! ;)
Thank you, Donnamae. I passed your comment on to Don.
I know! Hardly any figurals out there and many of the ones I see are cheaper modern cups.
Stay safe.
Just listened to Don’s song. It’s lovely. He is very talented. I do especially love the egg cups with the rabbits. They are very whimsical. Hugs, Elaine
They are some of my favorites, as well.
Thanks so much, Elaine.

My favorites are the goose pulling the cart and the two bunnies holding up the egg cup! What treasures they are.
Another treasure in your house is Don and his beautiful voice.
You are a lucky lady.
Hoping tomorrow brings some sun; it has been foggy and gray all day today.
Thank you for sharing!

Don has written a beautiful song – and he really is a story teller isn’t he ?
Having an anxious afternoon – my daughter is defending her Phd thesis at a Viva this afternoon . Started at 2pm London time . I am so nervous for her
and tomorrow marks three years since Tony died –
I am hoping he is watching over her and helping her impress the panel

He is indeed a story teller, Siobhan.
I hope your daughter’s defence of her thesis went well.
