We’re off to get vaccinated this morning, so I’m posting early.
I took this picture a couple of weeks ago. I loved seeing the plant that’s across the room reflected on this wall. It was a ‘perfect timing’ kind of thing.
We took it easy on the weekend. Something happened to my neck and a muscle in my upper back – most likely from sleeping funny – and I was having a lot of pain. So I was very careful for a couple of days and now it’s almost back to normal. So what do I do? I proceed to get shots in my arm, which will be sore, along with my neck. Thankfully, I can stay home and get through any reaction I might have without any work obligations.
I’m almost done with Katabasis. I’ve really loved reading this book. I will finish it today.

Ever hopeful, I sow morning glory seeds every year. There have been changes in our climate in the past several years and morning glories don’t bloom – if they bloom at all – before October. They used to bloom in late August/September. Last year, for the first time in a long time, I had an actual flower and lots of buds which were promptly destroyed by an early frost.
Now, it’s the last week of September and I see no signs of flower buds. Will there be any? I even planted the seeds a week earlier this year. I don’t know what will happen. I do miss the masses of morning glories I used to get.
Fingers crossed.
Okay. Have to make our second cup of coffee before we head off to Walgreen’s.
Stay safe.
Happy Monday.

It’s one thing to choose the pain, another to have it thrust upon us, simply because we slept wrong! I’m glad the unplanned pain has eased up. Three cheers for vaccines!
Glad to hear your sore neck is better. Hope the shots go smoothly and you have few side effects.
Happy Monday! I dont think I’m getting the shot this year. My husband had Covid a few weeks ago and I managed to not get anything. Actually all my kids and grands were home too and no one got sick. Luck or virus isn’t as bad? WHO knows.
Oh my, your wall of pictures is on my wish list! What’s collection.
hoping your back and neck pains are gone, the trouble solved and the only reaction to the two shots is complete protection, that neither you nor don get covid or the flu. and glad you can both lay low anyway, reactions or not.
getting shots here in a couple weeks.
though it was without any dog sightings or pettings, enjoyed a nice walk this morning. now it’s time to sort more papers (again) before thursday’s free paper-shredding event. i am very grateful that local banks offer that usually twice a year.
hope everyone has a good day. stay safe!

Hi Claudia! I also need to go get my jabs. On the to-do list! I hope your arm doesn’t hurt too much.
I have a morning glory this year that I did not plant… it is a self-seeded offspring of previous year’s plants that often did not thrive or bloomed so late there was little to see. It sprouted in an area I have denuded of plants in order to have some carpentry done on my porch… and along comes the morning glory creeping along the rabbit fencing! Surprise! It is one of the darker blue variety… the pure sky blue ones are not quite as willing to self-seed. I think they are a carefully nurtured hybrid while the darker blue ones come in that “mix” of red white and blue seeds. I am not interested in the white or red ones as much…. but love the darker blue. I think they are more durable, hardier than the sky blue ones. Anyway… sorry for the TMI but I do hope you get a surprise blossom or two before frost comes.
I got my flu shot but need to go get my Covid shot. My Dr sent in the prescription, don’t get me started on the crazy changes in health care going on. ANYWAY, I have a trip planned next week so will get it after I return because I usually don’t feel well after the covid shot. I did not have any reaction to the flu shot this year…wow. Love your photographs. Hugs!!
Had my jabs on Friday; didn’t cancel the appt even though I started on Wednesday with quite the eczema flare-up (every autumn & spring, I get a flare up when my allergies kick up). Saturday I just laid in the recliner pretty much all day like a slug, taking Benadryl and Tylenol !!! Happy first day of Fall, y’all.
Here in SC, blooms are always ahead of yours. My daffodils are always long gone before yours bloom and we have had morning glories for a long time. They are almost too invasive and I always have some colors from the previous year even though I almost always plant more every year. It is so much hotter here that my hydrangeas don’t stay beautiful as long as yours. I always enjoy hearing about your flowers to see what difference the latitude makes. Climate change has affected the timetable some I have noticed. I hope you will get your flowers soon.
The shadow painting is beautiful made more beautiful because it is ephemeral.
Women taking Tylenol when pregnant does not cause autism, studies by “educated” people have disproved this time and again. ” It” said they have no autism cases in Cuba that is not true. Plus, autism was first recorded in 1910..or so, Tylenol (acetaminophen) was not formulated until the 1950’s.
I got vaccinated yesterday and was encouraged because the pharmacist said that many, many people have been coming into to get the covid shot…good sign that people are following science .
Take Care,
Kaye
I think i had only the first 3 covid shots. I didn’t know there were so many. A couple friends are real anti-vaccers. These friends also have some strange ideas… I’d better have a refresher shot.
The trees are turning early this year.
Dad went to calgary on a shuttle to meet up with a brother. I just made his arrangements. I hope he has fun.
Stay safe, crazy world.
