On This Wednesday

This particular shot is filed under “If I take a picture of it, I may be motivated to do something.”

See all that excess glue (on the right) that I need to remove? Tedious.

It’s upstairs, too. It’s everywhere. Whoever assembled this wasn’t too concerned about it. But I am.

Filed under “What you find when you pull a piece of pottery out of a cupboard.” Hello, acorns!

Today will be all about watching Michael Cohen’s testimony before the House Oversight Committee. I’m trying to get this post written before it starts. I even took a shower already! Because I fully intend to park myself in front of the television for the duration.

Between that and McCabe’s book, which I’m still reading, I’m all set.

More snow coming today, though it doesn’t look like it will be more than a couple of inches. Still…I’m over it. I am more than ready for spring. As it is, we’re celebrating this Friday because it won’t be February. It was not a good month for us, to put it mildly. I know March is unpredictable, but it isn’t February, so it’s already an improvement.

Nothing else is new. Thank you for your nice comments about the book. It was a nice surprise!

It’s very cold here and even colder in the upper Midwest – stay warm!

Happy Wednesday.

I am most anxious to hear what he says. I’ll be watching (it is on now)! Praying that something good will come out of all this.

I have to mute the Republicans. All trying to discredit him, they have nothing else.

Can’t stop watching, Jeanie! Though I do have to mute the Republicans, for the sake of my blood pressure.

I had to walk away for a bit. The Repubs, for sure, but just the horrific things he is saying is making my BP soar. It is what we knew was going on, but hearing it is almost too much for some reason, and I feel it through my soul. Disgusting.

I’m all for the end of Feb, but the predictions for March for us are for exactly the same. The first 4 days are all below zero temps and chances of snow. So over all of it. The people across the street just let their dog out, and he is able to climb up the banks of snow and look right into their windows!! Crazy. Driving is nuts with the huge piles of snow at every intersection and in all of the parking lots. Hope you are both feeling better today!!!

I did exactly the same, Claudia [took my shower early]. Now I’m in my big chair, all clean & comfy. Feet up on the ottoman. Flannel blankie, pot of coffee, lunch & snacks, laptop & remote all handy. Enjoying THE HELL out of this spectacle. The GOP couldn’t look more desperate & I’m loving every moment. Michael Cohen is making every one of them positively foam at the mouth. Yee-hah! LOL. Highly recommend following along on Twitter – so many tweets today are absolutely scathing! You have a good time too! Peace.

it’s a shame we are reduced to having to put our hopes on this smarmy liar in order to get to 45. Not sure how much of his testimony to believe. He’s planning on asking for a reduced sentence after today, and he’ll be writing his book while he’s in jail…what a guy. Nothing to look up to…

Actually, he’s looking pretty good at the moment. All due to the Republicans grilling him. Trump is a mobster. Just like in the mob, other mobsters are caught and turn evidence. Happens all the time.

I don’t give a crap whether he writes a book. And I don’t look up to him, but I commend his change of heart. He volunteered to come before the committee.

Today, is not helping my blood pressure…so I’m watching in spurts. Hopeful that some good will come from all this. I am so tired of getting my hopes up…only to have them squashed.

I hope March will be better for you and Don. As Chris said..it looks to be more of the same for us! ;)

I watched the Cohen testimony for about an hour but was getting so angry with the republicans that I had to walk away. They only want to denigrate him…not hear anything bad about their petty bad boy. They are so disgusting and ass kissing. Just wanting to say ” gee, Mr. President…see what a good person I was trying to protect you.” How much longer will this beautiful country have to suffer these crooks and their leader!?

Merriam-Webster’s word for the day was “grift” but I couldn’t help thinking “chastened” as I watched Cohen’s demeanor.

Claudia, glad you and Don are physically better as you go onwards into March. Leave February behind! Well, now I have some wee bit of crude-like symptoms. Mostly a little tired and some chest congestion. Something’s brewing in there and I’m trying to head it off. Staying semi-pajama’ed today as I stay in and do taxes. Frankly, my previous plan of helping a friend pack up her kitchen for a remodel sounds a lot more fun.

Regarding the glue in the dollhouse, you’re right it would be a tedious task. I vote you wait until you’re feeling 100 per cent back to your normal strength. Gee, if I had McCabe’s book, I’d rather be reading that too.

Watched the whole hearing and could NOT believe the best the cultists could come up with was how much they detest “book deals” and that, while they can abide all the lying in the Oval Office, they really hate that Cohen has lied in the past. Then again, how in the world would they have been able to defend he indefensible?

I have watched the Cohen testimony as much as possible and then put my T.V. on record. Yet, we shall see what happens.

It appears that Trump did break the law while in office. We shall see what happens. I would like to see Pres. Trump impeached but that is not easy to do. I do not think it can be done for sex as there are few Presidents that did not have sex with a mistress. Kennedy did and so did Clinton.
So, I believe that our best bet is with involvement with Russia in sending bots to interfere with our elections.
    We shall see.

Yes. We shall see. I have a feeling the cumulative evidence of Trump’s crimes – whether they’re with paying off mistresses, his financial dealings with his company, tax evasion, and out-and-out collusion – will build to a point where he will have to resign. Or be impeached. I think SDNY will get him on RICO charges. My prediction, for what it’s worth: He will lose everything, assets will be seized, Trump Inc. will be no more.

      But that’s just my prediction!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
