We’re open. Hamlet is one of the best productions I’ve ever worked on. Simply stunning. The audience cheered and whooped at intermission. They went wild at the end of the play. It’s that good.

The cast is enormously talented. They are also very, very nice. It’s been a joy. As always, I’m ready to go home, but sad to leave. Ah, well. Such is the push-pull of the theater life.

So this is a short one. Have to pack. Have to load the car. Have to get Scout ready for the journey home.

Happy Saturday.

I’ve unpacked about half my stuff. Just ate a sandwich and sat down with Miss Scout in the tunnel.

Claudia, I sent your “review” to my father, who is going to see the play on the 29th. He is really looking forward to it!

Also, I second Susie’s comment (above). Don’t try to do too much. Just bask for a day or two. But do take a few pictures of Scout on her home turf, please; your readers love her so.

Everything looks cluttered and dirty, which I knew it would! Work ahead of me. And lots and lots of leaves to rake!

I can see from your comments that you had safe travels and are, at last, home again (home again, jiggety jig). Was Scout smiling when you arrived or was she a bit confused by it all? If she is in her tunnel, it seems things must be good. Lots of sniffing and snooping will need to be done in her little area outside. Much fluffing and floofing for you to do, too, I am sure… and the leaves will still be there tomorrow (unless you have a friendly wind to take them away). And so glad you have those wonderful memories from your weeks of hard work now behind you. Will you be home now through the holidays?

so glad you ladies are home safely
is it ok if I share a nice story here?
my husband just spent three weeks in the hospital and is home but not in any shape to mow the lawn
what a sweet sweet sound it was to hear a lawn mower and realize our next door neighbor is out there cutting our grass
what a sweet think that it
    renews my faith in people
you girls take it easy and enjoy your night together.. is your hubby coming home soon?

That’s such a lovely story Sue. Our neighbors cleaned out our gutters while we were gone. I was afraid, with all the rain, that the ones by the kitchen would clog up and leak into the kitchen. They did such a good job of it! Kind neighbors restore my faith as well.

Don will be home in two more weeks.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
