Overgrown

May 24, 2021 at 8:07 am by Claudia

It’s amazing how quickly the Secret Garden gets overgrown. We just cut the grass last week and it looks as if it’s been neglected for a long time.

It will have to remain that way until tomorrow because we have to drive to the DMV today. Since there are only certain DMVs open, and only by appointment, we are driving up the thruway to the one in Hudson, which allows walk-ins. Hopefully, we’ll get the “new” car registered today and after the mechanics put on the license plates, Don can drive it home.

The heat has broken and we’ll have a much more comfortable day ahead – we should have a lovely drive.

Thank you for your prayers.  The family member has two small children and is critically ill. He’s such a gentle, lovely human being. It’s heartbreaking and it takes me back to when my brother, at about the same age, was battling cancer, also with young children.

This will be short, as having to tap these posts out on the iPad takes twice as long as it normally does and we have to get on the road.

Stay safe.

Happy Monday.

The Secret Garden is so special even if it needs mowing often. Have a great day. Hugs!

I hope you have a lovely drive today!

So sorry to hear of a new sorrow in your family. This has been a helluvayear, & it just doesn’t seem to stop, does it? I am taking a news break for a few days. I thought we were done with the idiots, but that just seems to keep on coming, also. Just so tired of all of it.

Enjoy your day, & take care.

The swampers keep on doing everything they can to destroy our democracy.

Life is hard lately. Knowing someone so young is going to die much too soon breaks my heart.

      Stay safe.

I always use my laptop but the t on the keyboard isn’t working, making it very difficult to write.

      Stay safe, Brenda.

Good luck with today’s tasks and all love and prayers for this loving father of two. (And I know what you mean about overgrowing. The story of my life.)

It was long and tedious but it’s done now.

Don’s car is sitting in the driveway.

      Stay safe, Kathy!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
