Pink Saturday

July 10, 2009 at 11:32 pm by Claudia

Happy Pink Saturday to everyone and thank you to Beverly for hosting this event every Saturday. Please stop by her blog to find a list of everyone participating.

This week I am back at Mockingbird Hill Cottage. I’m unpacking, gardening, and just enjoying being with my family. On the first evening I was home I was surprised by a visit from Heidi and her family. They brought a welcome home dinner and dessert. I got the prettiest piece of cake.

I was given this beautiful pink rose on Opening Night of Twelfth Night.

This lovely mirror is hanging on the wall at Vignettes.

And this dressing table was at the Barn Sale.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Your finally at home. :-)And then to add to your welcoming party – you also get to have a pretty, yummy looking cake!

So I guess it’s true what Dorothy says – There’s no place like home :-)

I hope the damages the lightning has brought will get fixed. And good thing no serious damages.

What a sweet welcome home gift!
My attention was drawn to the pretty plate, I noticed it on you header picture too. It is the same pattern as my breakfast and tea service which was one of the fist things I bought about 27 years ago when I left home to go to University. It is so pretty with all the pink roses. I still love it and use it daily.

And, the cake? MMmmmm….that looks so good….wish I was there, I’d snitch a bite. :-) A while back my Hubbs and I were eating a lovely dessert in a rather nice restaurant and a lady actually came up to us and asked if she could have a bite! It cracked us up and we gave her some!

Well now (she says with a smirk on her face). I went to a Barn Sale yesterday morning and there was no pink furniture there at all. In fact, there was no furniture at all….just baling wire, old farm parts, old grubby clothes BUT they did have a little table that had tiny ceramic figurines on it…none worth much except one beautiful lady bust with pink porcelain roses around her neck. Guess who snatched that piece up right away? :) Happy Pink Saturday Claudie.
