Pink Saturday

August 14, 2009 at 10:35 pm by Claudia

Happy Weekend and Happy Pink Saturday! Thank you Beverly for organizing our little party. Please stop by her blog and take some time to visit everyone and leave a comment. We all love receiving comments!

This week we are taking a little trip down memory lane…to my childhood. Those of you who have been reading my PS posts might remember that my mom called me her ‘pink bunny’ when I was a little girl. Look what I found in my dresser drawer: proof.

My overalls – I couldn’t have been more than 2 years old – I think I was even younger than that.

A little robe. Hard to believe I was ever small enough to wear this…here’s a closer view.

The palest of pinks.
Truth be told, I loved being Mom’s pink bunny! I wonder if there are any children’s books with that title? Wouldn’t it be fun to have one? Have a great weekend!

Happy PS, Claudia! How wonderful that you still have those sweet pieces of clothing. Did your mother embroider on the legs of the pink overalls herself? How adorable I’m sure you were wearing those!!

    Happy Pink Saturday!

It’s interesting what pieces of clothing we choose to keep of our children. My mother kept some simple white gowns, shoes, and a winter muff I had. If you think of a way to display these, let me know. Come visit me at Applejack Lane!

Amazing that you still have those. I have a couple of my son’s things.

I mowed the upper 40 and John’s going to mow the lower. Heehee. It’s just two acres. On a hot day it seems like much, much more.

    4. So sweet that you have clothing from your childhood.

    5. Remember seeing some “Pink Bunny” books at an estate sale. Oddly, they were wintry themed.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
