Pink Saturday

June 27, 2009 at 1:31 am by Claudia

Hello and Happy Pink Saturday! Please visit Beverly and stop by all the Pink Saturday posts!

I am just a week away from my return trip home – I am happy that I will be returning to my husband and dogs, but I will miss my friends, both new and old, here in San Diego. I’m packing and shipping all my stuff (since I’ve been here 6 months, I’ve accumulated quite a bit!)

So, let’s take a break from list making and packing and look at a few pale pink pretties.

This was at the most recent Barn Sale: pale pinks: in the pillows, the flowers and the depression glass. So pretty coupled with the white chair and table, don’t you think?
Also at the sale: I love this desk – white on the outside, then a hidden pink surprise when opened. That is such a neat idea. How I wish I could have taken it home! And there is that pink purse again! (It was in an earlier PS post of mine.) Check out the frou-frou shoes on top of the desk! See the pink tole trash can by the desk?
And these pretty flowers – don’t they look like roses? They aren’t. I got them at Trader Joe’s and can’t remember their name. If anyone knows, please let me know! I think they are beautiful.

I am saving up some Barn Sale photos for future posts. I’m afraid there will be no more Barn Sales – I will be back East where Shabby Cottage Chic is not as prevalent. I will have to go on a shabby quest, won’t I?

Have a great weekend!

Oh Claudia! Do you ever have some finds! I love your Post. The desk is so divine. I love the pink inside. Pink is so relaxing, you will get a lot accomplished sitting at that desk. Loved the chair. Oh My Gosh, just loved it all. Well done. Thank you for stopping by Country Wings in Phoenix. I will add myself as a follower. I hope you will do the same. I want to follow and see what other treasures you have in store in the future. “Country Hugs”, Sherry

With such beautiful items I can see why you would miss the barn sales (I love learning the different terms used for sales & stores in other countries – I guess this would be similar to a garage sale? Or is it a sale of certain styles/items?)

    Have a great ‘pink’ week.

    ciao for now,
    Elena :)

Lots and lots of pink to bring back home. And everything is just pretty. The soft blushes of pink is very soothing to the eyes. How excited you must be to go home to your cottage :-) oh in no time at all everything will be in it’s place. There’s also one thing you’ll be excited about aside from the list you’ve mentioned – that is working on your doll house! :-)

Happy PS! No pink post for me today though.

Are those flowers Hollyhocks? The ones of the left remind me of them…but then, I am not an expert on all of the pretty varieties.

I’m so happy for you that you’re going home to your family. It must have been so hard being away from them. Aren’t you glad the internet makes it so easy to stay in touch with the ones you love? My parents moved a gazillion miles away from home…things were so much different then…and EXPENSIVE…

I loved your pink post….especially that desk. I could sure use one like it….although, where the heck would I put it??? I have about enough free space for a tissue box.

    Have a safe trip home…

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
