If you stopped by yesterday, this is what you would have seen me doing.
All day long.
This is a difficult one, with lots of detail, but it’s such fun! So many Shakespearean characters pop up throughout the puzzle. The Globe, the Tower of London, Queen Elizabeth I, bear baiting (can’t believe that was ever considered sport!) the Thames. It is the perfect puzzle for yours truly.
But 1000 tiny pieces with all sorts of bits of building facades and people’s faces, so there’s that.
I figured I’d start with the Thames and go from there.
Don is out running a few errands as we might get some light snow this afternoon that will turn icy overnight. He figured he’d get things done this morning and then we can stay safely inside.
I have decided I am going to temporarily dismantle the modern dollhouse. I haven’t done anything with it and it takes up a lot of space on the bedroom bookshelves. It’s easily taken apart and put together again – it was designed that way. Then I’m going to move the stacks of books that live on the den floor up to the top of the bookcase. These are all books that are To Be Read and I can stack them on their sides where the titles will be visible. Rather than have them take up floor space downstairs, they can live in the bedroom, where I will see them every evening. And the den will look less crowded. So that’s on the docket for today.
I’ll store the modern dollhouse under the work table in the office. I think (fingers crossed) that will work.
Okay. Have to get going.
Stay safe.
Happy Monday.

Love the puzzle…I loved seeing those places…working with the authors of so many Shakespeare books in England, at Shakespeare and Company in Mass…and The Folgers in DC…love it…

Thanks, Brenda.

Claudia, did you publish a picture of the “modern dollshouse” somewhere?
I cannot bring it to mind. Checked the box on the upper right just now, but it didn’t turn up.
Claudia says
There are pictures on the blog, Look up in the navigation bar under dollhouses and look at the list that comes up. Modern dollhouse is there.
Stay safe!

It does help, putting a project in the middle of the work table. You either have to deal with it or find a place for it — and it’s a lot easier to find a spot for it after you’ve dealt with it! And, nice to reclaim the shelves for books. My TBR books are overflowing in every space!
That’s a fabulous jigsaw. I predict you’ll have it done by New Year’s!

My life seems to be spent moving things from one place to another as there is a serious lack of closets or basement or an attic here. I’m always trying to figure out where to put things!
Stay safe, Jeanie.

Perfect puzzle for you & socks – yes! Loved reading about everyone’s Christmas activities. Our days have been very low-key. No snow, some rain, perhaps coming in at midnight tonight in Santa Fe. So strange to miss all the weather happening in CA. Happy to have time away from the pressure of daily life.
Claudia says
California weather right now is intense! It must feel strange to be away right now. Enjoy your time in NM.
Stay safe, Martha.

I completed a puzzle called The World of Jane Austen by the same makers as your puzzle, it was fun to do!!
Claudia says
I saw that on Amazon and you know I’m going to have to order it!
Stay safe, Jen.

We are snowed in here, so it’s a perfect time to “clean up”! We have books stacked up everywhere even though I’ve been getting rid of some. If only I could read one book with each eye….. Happy Holidays!
Claudia says
Oh, me too! So many books to read1
Stay safe, Judy.
