Reality Shot Thursday #4

October 20, 2011 at 12:30 am by Claudia

Hello, welcome to Reality Shot Thursday #4. It’s just a slice of reality – not a pretty, staged shot – but the reality behind the scenes. (I want to mention that I have 2 posts today. If you scroll down, you will see a book review for TLC Book tours, as well.)

We’re back to the kitchen table. Unfortunately, it remains in it’s cluttered state. This time, we have the addition of paint, stain, sandpaper and all the things I use when working with my dollhouse and miniatures. The box on the right is the box the dollhouse wallpaper came in. I’m saving it because I like it’s shape. Why I haven’t put it away by now, I cannot say. Next to the box are the dreaded medical bills. I keep staring at them, willing some manna to drop from the heavens. The Target bag is my husband’s. I don’t know what’s in there. Then on the left, some cough drops, some mail, my husband’s glasses…and we’re back to the paint. And the pretty McCoy jardiniere is still holding the same stuff it did last time I took a photo of the table.

Let me know if you want to continue Reality Shot Thursday. I know there are a lot of memes out there and that we are all pressed for time. Last week, the number of participants dropped. I don’t care about big numbers or anything and if you want to continue, I will.

I should have waited a few more minutes before adding a comment on your Book post, sorry.

I love your Reality Thursday and will link whenever you post one. Might be that it is hard to post something fresh about reality shot every week. I’ve certainly enjoyed the idea.

I do enjoy participating in Reality Shot Thursdays, mostly because there’s no fluffing and primping involved!
You just need to be brave enough to take the photographs & share the mess!
Hope you decide to keep on keeping it real,
    Maggie.

    Claudia,
I hope you continue this meme. I finally got a MiFi hotspot so I am back with internet. I just need to catch up.

Hope we can keep it going Claudia, it’s fun! I’ll definitely give it my best shot from the ship – even though it’s 5-star I’m sure I’ll find something imperfect, and then hope I can get Internet access to share with y’all!!!

I see flooring even in miniature is hard work – your kitchen table is full of paraphernalia – but all interesting and much like we all have once in a while.

    Off to catch a plane!
    – big hugs.
    Mary

Sorry, I didn’t manage to post a decent picture. However, there is something hiding behind the LinkyTool.

Claudia, I think my kitchen table has not changed too much from my reality shot a few weeks ago too. I enjoy participating because as someone above said, no fussing or primping, and I have endless subject matter. Thanks for hosting! Ann

Claudia, please don’t stop…I love Reality Thursday! It makes me feel like I’m normal! :) I’m pretty new to this blog world and, to be honest, don’t even know how to do a link. I guarantee you that I have lots of “Reality” material to share … but even when I do figure out how to link … I’m not sure I’ll be brave enough to share it! Keep it up! I love your blog and so glad I found it!

Claudia, I love this event. Now, if only I could remember.

Your table is proof that you are busy, creative and having fun. I’ll wish for some manna for you.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
