Resting

June 3, 2019 at 10:26 am by Claudia

Good morning! I’m sorry I didn’t post yesterday but I’ve been feeling under the weather since Sunday. Yesterday morning, doing all the things I need to do to publish a post seemed beyond me.

So I took the day off.

And this one will be short because I need to rest.

We actually have a 2 or 3 days coming up with no rain. Go figure!

I’ll be back with more tomorrow.

Happy Monday.

Take care Claudia and rest up. I find if I’m really busy for a few days I need to stop and rest a bit. Aging is so much fun!!

Claudia, rest and relax. Things can wait until tomorrow. I’m beat after yesterday’s activities: an all afternoon birthday Chinese lunch banquet (for a one-year old) that consisted of 10 courses, then rushing home to prepare for a dinner gathering at my house. I would have loved to talk with my friends longer but they had a long drive home and really, I was tired. My dear daughters did all the clean up so I could relax with a cup of tea.

Rest well Claudia. I hope you feel well soon!

We spent yesterday landscaping, making paths in our little English Garden, moving rocks and stone, mapping out grass and plants and bushes. It was cloudy and cool and the smoke has finally disappeared. I just did 2 more hours this morning after everyone went to work and school. It’s supposed to start raining tomorrow and rain through the rest of the week ~ excited for the moisture and the growth that will happen in our garden with the rain. Fingers crossed the weather predictions are accurate!

I’m off to treadmill and shower. Days off are lovely!

    X Chy

I think we all like to believe that we can go at the pace we did even 5-7 years ago, but it just isn’t true. Rest really is the only way to keep on going. It doesn’t make us wimps, it makes us smart. So put your feet up and have a cup of coffee or tea & read for a bit. Pacing ourselves is a job we have to come to terms with if we want to enjoy the days to the fullest. We may have to slow down, but we surely don’t have to give up! So happy resting to you today ~ and tomorrow ~ and the days after!! Just a few hours a day really does help renew the spirit! ♡

Yes…rest up by all means! I should be listening to my own advice. I hurt my foot, I tripped…now it hurts to climb stairs. I should be sitting with my foot elevated but much cleaning to do at future DIL’s house. It does take longer to feel better whether it’s an ailment or a sprained whatever, that’s for sure.

So take it easy…get a cup of something…and enjoy! ;)

Have a rest Claudia if you’re not feeling up to your usual self. Enjoy reading or watching some TV, maybe Gardeners’ World if you’ve not seen this week’s episode already. I’m looking forward to watching a fascinating social documentary programme called 63 Up starting tomorrow. It began 56 years ago as 7 Up following the lives of seven year olds from all different walks of life within the UK and we catch up with them every seven years.
It’s especially interesting as I am the same age as the participants and have watched it since 21 Up!

    Happy Monday

Oh no, I hope you’re not getting sick again! Maybe you just overdid it…or, allergies? Whatever it is, enjoy the break and get lots of rest.

Feel better soon. This weird, wet spring has not been good for lots of us. I’ve had sinus/allergy problems like never before. Congestion moved around my head for a week and I lost the hearing in my right ear for two days because of it. You are wise to take care of yourself.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
