You didn’t think for a second that I would be drinking anything but Peet’s, now did you? I’m on my second cup on this Saturday morning.

I’m sleeping well – the bed is pretty darned comfortable – although my neighbor to my right was playing music rather loudly last night. It’s 8 am and it’s happening again. Yikes. Don’t know what I’m going to do about that, but I don’t have the energy to deal with it at the moment.

Lovely cast, mostly new to me. One of the young actresses looked familiar to me and then I realized that she played Emily in the production of Our Town  that Don was in three years ago. Small world again! She’s a wonderful actress. We’re doing what is called table work, where we literally sit around a table and discuss the text, what it means, what it reveals about the characters. I love table work. I always learn something new.

That will be going on for the next few days. Another full day today.

I saw this guy on the milkweed the other day. This is the first time in the many years we’ve lived here that I’ve actually seen a caterpillar which will become a monarch butterfly on my milkweed! I was so excited!

And my geranium that I’ve overwintered for two winters now finally bloomed. So pretty! And very satisfying, I must say.

Happy Saturday.

I must try Peet’s French Roast. I do love my coffee. I love when you work and we get to enjoy the details of your career. We’ve had so much rain but the sun is peeking through right now. I need to get out today and enjoy it!

The Peet’s roastery and HQ are about a mile from my house so sometimes I can smell coffee roasting. I wish there were an outlet store at the HQ but there is a Peet’s shop about four miles from my house so I can’t really complain.

I’m surprised there isn’t an outlet store there!

That Geranium is beautiful. That is unbelievable that it lasted so long. Our geraniums are still thriving but we bought them this year.

As caterpillars go, that guy is a beauty! I wonder if he’ll turn into a butterfly right in your cottage garden? Happy Saturday!

Hi Claudia, So glad everything is going well concerning your new production. Too bad about the noisy neighbour.
I mentioned the other day I have never seen a hummingbird moth in person. Of course today I was standing looking out our dining room window at a clump of phlox and there it was. So pretty!
    Take care.

Oh, great! I’m so glad you got to see one. They do seem to love phlox!

I love my geraniums that I winter-over. I feel thankful for them every day I walk by them in the yard. They still bloom so proudly!! I have wintered over geraniums for over 10 years. I am not sure about this year with a new cat in the house. He is a bit too curious!!

Glad you are enjoying the cast. It really is a small world, isn’t it? Is your music loving neighbor someone associated with the play?

Hope your day went well. Rehearsals all day tomorrow, too?

Your 10 years of overwintering puts my two years to shame! Love it.

I don’t think my neighbor is associated with the play. I don’t think that apartment is leased by the theater.

Do tell your neighbor to the right about this wonderful new thing called “wireless headphones”…lol…maybe the poor lad doesn’t get out much….Love seeing that the world will have another monarch soon!

Oy. I’m trying to be more tolerant. So far, it hasn’t gone past 10 pm or before 8 am.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
