Snow

December 3, 2025 at 7:51 am by Claudia

We got about 5 inches of snow, but the pretty fluffy snow we were envisioning was not to be. It was a heavy wet snow with gray skies. It was not particularly pretty until later in the afternoon when the flakes got bigger. We have a lot to clean up out there today and we’re not looking forward to it. We would love for someone to plow our driveway but since it is covered in Item 4 (a kind of gravel) and the plow has to go uphill, the gravel is plowed right up along with the snow. We’ve had it happen a few times in the past. That’s an expensive loss. This is the one time of the year that I envy our neighbors across the street who have flat properties and driveways.

So, it’s the snow blower today, along with the shovel. It will be quite cold for the next several days, so it’s not going to melt.

Winter is hitting us with a big old wallop!

Anyway, this will be short because we’ve got things to do!

Hope you’re all warm and cozy and that Mother Nature has been kind to you. Hopefully, the sun will come out today and it will look pretty out there.

Stay safe.

Happy Wednesday.

We got the same wet stuff. I’m glad Rick could shovel! Be careful out there.

Well….it is pretty! Our snow looked fluffy, but was actually heavy. Sounds like yours is like that too. Take it easy on yourselves, and remember to take breaks. Happy snow removal! ;)

All removed! It was fluffier than we thought it was.

Such pretty photos. I love snow, but we seldom get any. We do get a little cold at times, and today is one of them. Hope your digging out goes smoothly. Have a great day.

beautiful snow. and it’s work, for sure, too, so you and don please care when clearing your driveway!

been walking at a mall the past few days because of the snow here; the trail is an icy, rutty mess. it’s supposed to reach 14 degrees below zero tomorrow so the mess isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and the mall will have to do.

hope you, don and everyone else are comfortable, stocked up and safe. xo.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
