Squares 14 and 15

March 15, 2010 at 8:03 am by Claudia

Square #14 – my initial

Square #15 – a cup of my favorite brand of coffee – Peets

Here’s what we have so far:

Sorry about the photos – it is very dark and rainy here today and this is the best I can do.

No McCoy today – I just didn’t get around to it. Don’s father is holding his own. He is still sedated and lots of tests are being run. Don really feels he needs to be there so he will be flying to California this afternoon. His Dad wrote “Don” on his brother Peter’s hand. I think that clinched it.

Thank you for all your support and healing thoughts. My father-in-law is feisty and a fighter. He has made no bones about the fact that he wants to live. That’s good news.

Have a wonderful Monday.

I sure hope he makes it through all this, sweetpea. Yep, that would do it—a “signing” on the hand. Good luck to hubs.

i wish don a safe trip. it won’t be an easy visit but i hope all goes well.

i just love your squares. i started last night and got slighly obsessed and did 4. i still can’t figure out how to do any “fancy” stitches though — not even a french knot. i am such a simpleton at times! LOL i’ll keep trying. i find myself making flowers.

i am also a peets fan. lately i mix the house blend caff and no caff together. in fact, i think i’ll go brew a pot right now.

    thinking of you & don

    Good Morning Claudia Sweetie…
I am so thankful that Don is going to see his Dad. He needs to be there. He is waiting on him, and maybe he needs his strength to get better. Don is making the right decision to go. I continue to keep FIL in prayers sweetie, and please keep me posted on his health. I will also be praying for a safe journey for Don.

I so enjoy looking at your embroidery project. It is coming along beautifully and you do such delicate work Claudia. I appreciate you sharing so much.

Have a gorgeous Monday sweetie. Country hugs and much love, Sherry

I just found out that Elyse was going to join this challenge late. So I think I will too, because it looks like you are having so much fun with this. I have to run to the store and get the osnaburg today, but I already have lots of floss. I will have lots of catching up to do, as you are nearly half way through, but I can manage. I better go find out the actual rules for doing it.

Your sampler is so pretty! I love it, I love coffee, I am addicted to it! Tim Horton’s is my brand of choice. That wouldnt fit too well on a sampler square though, lol! Thank you for taking a picture of the whole thing! I like seeing it all together, it looks beautiful!

Oh good luck to your father in law! My FIL is just getting out of the hospital — my dad is still in a rehab facility after a hospital stay– it’s tough.

Love the burlap embroidery. when we were little girls, my sister and I practiced our embroidery on burlap placemats, using worsted wool yarn!

Oh gosh! Tears sprang to my eyes when you shared Don’s father writing Don’s name on his brother’s hand. I’m so very glad he is going and hope he has a safe trip.

Your stitching is gorgeous! I love every single square. ♥

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
