A Sunday Question for You

September 20, 2009 at 10:43 am by Claudia

I love the color of these Mums. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday. My husband is off to a wonderful restaurant to play and sing his music for Sunday Brunch. Those lucky people! I am getting a slow start but have lots of cleaning to do, along with walking the dogs, watching the Red Sox, and watching the Emmy Awards tonight. Normally, I don’t watch them but one of my former students is nominated for his role in The Big Bang Theory. I love this guy – he is so talented and such a wonderful person. Cross your fingers!

I am trying out a new font. It is called Papyrus – I have seen it on a few blogs and really like it. What do you think? Can you see it? Not every computer has the font, so what does your computer show? My other problem is that I would like the Post Title bigger and am having a frustrating time with it. I thought I’d ask my faithful readers what they think. If it doesn’t work for many of you, I may just revert back to the old font.

Looks like I’m the first one to wager an opinion ;-) I like the font a lot. It flows and is still easy to read. It would be nice to have the post title larger. I’m not a blogger user but seems like it should be an easy fix??
    Music at brunch…how nice.
And your mums are very pretty.
    Have a great day!

    Hi Claudia:
First…those mums are a luscious color of pink. Wow! What a delightful addition to your porch.

Papyrus is my all-time favorite font. Lovely to look at and easy to read. I vote a huge “YES” for it.

Have a great Sunday. Thoroughly enjoy your day.
    Hugs,
    Donna

    Good Morning Claudia

It’s weird, your old font loads first then changes (at least on my computer). I like the new font – very clean and neat.

Still making the rounds for PS. I love that vase and haven’t ever come across one like it in my many travels either – must be one of a kind!!

    Enjoy your Sunday!

Did you leave it up? I cannot see mine with it so I may not see yours either. Good Luck!

Good morning! Brunch and music? How wonderful!!

Claudia, your flowers are gorgeous. Just the perfect POP of color on your porch.

It sounds like you are going to have a quiet day – and WE hope the RED SOX win! We are huge fans, too.

About the post title….If you go to Layout and then click on HTML.
You are editing your layout….so preview your changes before saving them. That way you won’t do some serious messing up. Anyways, scroll down to P3 and under font size you can change the percentage. I have 150% on mine.

I love your new font. How do you change the font on your blog?

    Hi Claudia

I like the font you are using as it’s nice a big and easy for my middle aged plus eyes to read. I think I’ll experimant and try to enlarge the size of the font on my blog.

I hope your former student wins an Emmy ..how cool!

I love your new font and am now very jealous. I tried to change mine once, but my page got so slow it took the longest time for it to download. How did you change yours?

Now this posts were just packed with interesting info: You have a husband that sings and plays! YOU LUCKY WOMAN! I bet he serenades you on those special occasions.. *swoon*. And you have a former student who has been nominated for an Emmy? WOW… a little bit impressed now.

    Hi Claudia,
So glad you came to visit me at Heart and Home – gee, I just love your site! Your “cottage” is very lovely!
We’re drama geeks at this house, eldest daughter an aspiring screenwriter/playwright, youngest a singer/actor – so your career had me intrigued.
I like the new font you are using. BTW – I am also experiencing trouble with getting a larger header pic on Minima Stretch – it wouldn’t center no matter what. But perfect on my test site, so who knows what the deal is. I would leave yours as is – it’s very pretty.
Love your porch and pretty pink mums. Have a great weekend.
Come back for a visit soon.
    XO

    Hi Claudia,
Thanks for coming for a visit on my blog. I have been reading your posts and they are really lovely.
I have a vase exactly like your Pink Saturday hobnail vase, but mine is milk glass. Other than that same shape, same size.
Didn’t make it to Elephant’s Trunk today :( I have Sundays off in October though, so I’ll try to go as much as possible then.

Hello Claudia! Your mum is gorgeous! I use the papyrus font on my blog too and I LOVE it, so my vote is a yes! What sort of music does your husband like to sing? Do you sing at all? Just curious. Hope your week is going well, especially with all that housecleaning!

I love the new font. I must be the only one who is having trouble reading it. If it could be ‘bold’ as there is not much contrast between the print and the background.
    Love the mums!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
