Sunday Snaps

June 24, 2012 at 9:17 am by Claudia

My grandmother used to call the pictures she took with her Brownie camera ‘snaps.’ I find myself using that word lately. Snaps. Here are some snaps on this Sunday of life around the Cottage.

No, it’s not Fathers Day – Don still has the card (from Riley and Scout) in a place of honor on the coffee table. But it is Don’s birthday! Happy Birthday, sweetheart! Let’s have a wonderful day celebrating all that is you.

Happy Sunday.

Flowers are all so pretty. Did you happen to get your gray 1/2 barrel in a place that I could get one too. I love your simple beautiful way of making flowers stand out.

Happy Birthday, Don!! And you have got some very talented pups there – great card they made for you! (VBG)

Loved your snaps, Claudia. Your flowers are gorgeous!

Brownie. I haven’t thought of Brownies in forever (well, the kind you eat, yes; the kind you take pictures with, no). I lost mine at the NY World’s Fair in the 60’s.

Have a great Sunday, you two! And the fur babies, too, of course!

Tell Don he’s not just a year older, he’s a year better! Love your pretty snaps. I went into Home Depot to see if I could find some bee balm too, but they didn’t have any. Should have brought some to OK with me…

Happy B’day to Mr Mockingbird Hill Cottage! Pick him a big bouquet of those magnificent hydrangeas! You must have great soil, everything is so BIG and colorful; still jealous of that bright bee balm.

Love your hydrangeas – are the white ones Annabelle?? I have a small blue one and another that is a kind of liver-color – trying to be pink, but when you live in the woods, soil is apt to be acidic . . . love the bee balm and yarrow too. It just makes me want to go out and DIG! (Now I know how my dog feels.)

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
