Oh boy. What a day we have ahead of us!
I still have to finish packing this morning and take care of what seems like a hundred things around here. There are at least 10 different lists sitting on the kitchen island.
That’s a bee diving down head-first into the morning glory.
I hope that the walk to the park from the hotel isn’t too far for Scout. That’s what I worried about last night. She limps because of the arthritis in her front leg. She’s a trooper, of course, but it would be so much easier if the apartment was available. So much easier. A quick walk across the street and we’re in the park. It’s more than a few blocks from the hotel.
This morning glory vine looks like a question mark.
Question of the day: Will Scout adapt to her new surroundings? Will she be able to handle the long walks? Or will I have to take her to Don’s place in New Haven?
This will be a short post, my friends. Too much to do before we head out around noon.
We won’t even mention how I’ve looked over the weather forecast for the next ten days and the lack of rain makes me concerned for my garden. Or how impossibly beautiful it looks right now as I prepare to leave and how sad that makes me.
It ain’t easy, this living and working away from home.
In fact, it gets harder, not easier.
Sorry for what seems like an excessive amount of in-post ads today. I’m looking into it.
Happy Thursday.

Safe travels Claudia and here’s hoping that Scout does ok. I didn’t see any ads when I pulled up your blog just now…

Praying for all three of you in your little family: that you have safe travels and everyone stays well.

Here’s hoping Scout does well on the long walk. Just take it slow. It must be very hard to leave home when you have so many concerns about Scoutie. She is so lucky to have you and Don. You both are so concerned about her. Enjoy your job.

You need a wagon for Scout! Here’s hoping everything will work out. I know as I get older, it does seem to get harder to leave home…and I love to travel! You just have difficult jobs…both of you. Safe travels…fingers crossed! ;)

Wishing you safe travels and a comfortable spot for you and for Scout to find. She will be happy just to be with her mom, I’m sure. They give us so much, and truly, they ask for amazingly little in return. Take care, kiddo, and know that we are looking forward to you sharing your adventures with us.

Be safe. I think Scout will do fine. I think she is as always up for the adventure. Scout is a trooper.
I am wondering if you have tried gloucosamine -chondrotin for her arthritis. I know they make it for dogs and cats. My friend gave it to her older cat fro arthritis, and the results were remarkable.
Dawn says
I bet the dog will adapt much easier than you think. Maybe an aspirin would help with the long walk.
Nancy Blue Moon says
Dawn..I believe aspirin is poisonous to dogs and cats..

Claudia, Don, and Scoutie Please Be safe!
Claudia have you tried giving her a child’s Ibuprofen?
Wrapped in Bread or Cheese to protect her tummy.
and a good drink of water.before you leave the hotel.
It will make a new girl out of her! She will be way more
comfortable, and that is a very small doggies dose.

Safe travels! I think Scout will adapt just fine; she just likes to be with people who love her!

Don’t look at the problem, look for the solution. Scout will be fine as you are with her and very lucky that the hotel takes dogs. Don is only down the road, so much worse if in another state. The garden well it will still be there and just might need a good water when you get back. Take a breath and travel safe…….Janine ♥
