Update on the Update

September 29, 2013 at 7:54 pm by Claudia

We took Scout back to the Vet’s for the night. She was having a hard time with the pain meds and was wheezing a bit, but the biggest thing was that she was bleeding. We were told to expect that since they couldn’t tie something off for some reason or other and so she would bleed a little. But after finally getting her to sleep a bit, she got up (she was unbelievably thirsty) and I walked into the kitchen and there was a lot of blood – and some clots – everywhere, which still might be normal, but was alarming enough that we thought she should be monitored overnight. So there you have it. We would have been worried all night long, and feel better that she’s in good hands.

I know it’s scary for you Claudia but taking her back to the vet for the night was the right thing to do for your girl. I am continuing to pray that all goes well for your family. Please keep updating. God bless you all.

Even though you would want your girl home with you ,sometimes it’s better to err on the side of caution. This will give you both an opportunity to get some sleep and be fresh when you pick up Miss Scot tomorrow. I’m so very happy she came through the surgery well and that all the prayers and good “mojo” helped.

So glad that you took her back. You would have worried yourself sick. She’s where she should be. Please update when you can.

Oh Claudia, I am so sorry for Scout and sorry for you. I know how worrisome it is when we don’t really know what is happening with our pets. Saying a little Doggy Prayer for your sweet baby. xo Diana

I’m glad to hear that Scout did well with the surgery, but the bleeding thing sounds a little too scary. I agree that it’s best for her to be at the vet’s office overnight so that she can be monitored.

Still keeping Scout and you in my prayers. Taking her back was the best thing to do, taking her where healing hands can help her. Lots of good thoughts coming your way.

I am so glad her surgery was successful! I will continue to pray for a good recovery, it is so scary when they aren’t feeling well and can not tell us what bothers them. She is where she needs to be right now.

A good decision Claudia. Sounds scary and upsetting. Knowing now that she is doing much better, I know you also are feeling better. The wound will heal quickly and having dealt with the human version of this with my daughter, its the best way for them to heal properly. Take care. Ann

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
