A Walk Down the Road

December 11, 2011 at 9:00 am by Claudia

Scout and I took a walk yesterday – just down the road from our cottage. Would you like to come along?

(All photos taken with my iPhone)
Thank you for taking the time to leave me such heartfelt and caring comments. You are all so dear to me. I’m going to make some lists today. Walking with my Scoutie and some work on a stitching project that I’ll share with you soon helped. No answers so far, but I managed to distract myself and that in itself was a blessing.
And I made some hot chocolate. But then again, I do that almost every day.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

Looks like you and Scoutie had a nice walk, beautiful pictures. I read your last post and I am just like you….in my head and overwhelmed. Mom and Dad…well the situation is difficult and won’t get better. It is so sad. But it is what it is. But that doesn’t make it any easier.
    Love you,
    Mere

Love the shadow picture. I`m off to the flea market to see if I can score some more of that beautiful china pattern I`m collecting; wish me luck!

So glad you are feeling a little better.

I am envious of your scenic views, Claudia! No mattresses. (Danged things are still out there!)

I know just what you are going through. Then again, I’ve been there several times before. You feel helpless. Sometimes we just need a breath of fresh air to make things all clear. That’s why I love Blogging. Also, yoga is wonderful and meditation. Put on some music and dance.. Put those worries behind you for a day!

Dear, dear Claudia. I’m so relieved that you’re feeling a bit better. Your photos are beautiful. You are such an accomplished photographer. I especially love the one of you and Scout’s shadows. The others, for instance, of the water, I can almost hear the sound of the water and feel its freshness! You live in such a beautiful area. Those nature photos are so uplifting! Have a wonderful day and yes, make lists, I find that they are so very therapeutic. I make them all the time. When I make them, I always think that I can do it all in one day because as I write, in my mind’s eye, I see myself flying through my chores as I did when I was young. Ha! Ha! Ha! Hi! Hi! Hi! ROFL! Believe me, my friend, I’m not flying as fast as I used to. So, usually what I intended to do in one day takes a week to get done. Oh, well, that’s life! Have a wonderful day!

So glad I stumbled across your blog – it’s lovely and you seem to live in a place surrounded by inspiration and beautiful things. When I get overwhelmed, I often find meditating on what I love about where I am helps me better decide where I want to go next.

Your surroundings are so beauitful and tranquil. I’m sure Scout loves those walks w/you. My husband has been sick for 7 years now, it’s a slow decline, I just thank God and the Universe for what we do have. There’s just some things we have no control over and our parents aging is one, sadly. We have to take time for ourselves, that’s so important to recharge our batteries. It helps me to remind myself that I’m right where I need to be today and let go and let God.

The shadow shot is wonderful. I know words will not fix this situation or mass of situations but I am thinking of you. I do know what it is to live with whirling thoughts.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
