A Brief Post

July 26, 2025 at 7:46 am by Claudia

Yesterday was dangerously hot and humid. All of this humidity has, unfortunately, left me feeling sick. I woke up in the middle of the night and went to the bathroom, got back in bed and never got back to sleep. So, I’m also feeling exhausted,

And I’m weeping about Gaza. Haunted by the dire situation there. By the deliberate starvation of children, of families.

Why is there such cruelty in the world? You don’t have to answer. There is no answer.

Anyway, I’m going to make this short because I cannot handle the world today.

I’ll bounce back.

Stay safe.

Happy Saturday.

Claudia, I completely understand the need to step back. You are absolutely entitled to your rest and retreat, especially when the world feels too heavy. I know this is hard to look at. I struggle too. I am looking for ways to help the starving people in Gaza. In some small way….I want to do something. It is exhaustion that is deep in the bones and more than just lack of sleep and the heat. It is about witnessing the cruelty and not knowing what to do. I know you are not looking away, Claudia. You are looking straight into it and by telling us, you remind the rest of us to see too. Even this small post holds so much courage. Thank you.

I feel the same way Claudia. The world is too much lately. I needed a break yesterday so we went and did our favorite thing. Walked through the huge antique store by us named Merchant Square. Took my mind away from the news for awhile. Stopped for pizza on the way home. Today I am putting the finishing touches on our hall bathroom. First time I wallpapered in this house. Fell in love with some Laura Ashley wallpaper and it turned out great. It is just a small bathroom so maybe I will try something bigger next time. I have 6 rolls left! I really over estimated how much we would need! Hope your day is better today. Take care!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
