BLUE BLUE BLUE BLUE

November 4, 2026 at 8:56 am by Claudia

A BLUE TSUNAMI!!! My heavens, what a night! I’m still processing it, but I feel like my shoulders have dropped for the first time in years. We stayed up until 1 am watching the returns. I kept trying to go to bed, but it was too exciting. We’re exhausted but it was so, so worth it. And then, this morning – more good news! Good has triumphed. Diversity has triumphed. Integrity has triumphed. We are taking back our country.

Insert sigh of happiness and another sip of coffee.

To review the last couple of days. We did find a health care policy. We have to pay more, but not too much. We spent a couple of hours on the phone with an advisor provided to us by the Screen Actors Guild. Yes, that’s nice, but remember, SAG took away the health care for Senior members that they assured us we would have “for the rest of our lives.” That’s the reason we have to go through this decision making now. Anyway. That’s done. A relief.

Then, yesterday morning, we woke up at 4 am for some reason. Neither of us could get back to sleep. We got going early, stopped off at our town hall to cast our votes, then got on the road for New Jersey. It was a two hour trip each way. We found our way to the house of a seller on Facebook Marketplace (a very nice woman) and picked up this:

The Glencroft dollhouse that I’ve been searching for! The color is a bit off and it’s a bit blurry as it was late in the day, but you get the idea.

Two little stories. When I was a girl, I fell in love with the houses in my hometown that were “Tudor” in style. I loved driving by them. I wanted to live in one. I had that dream for years. I had forgotten about that until I fell for this house and then those memories came back to me. I finally have my very own Tudor dollhouse!

The other story: That morning, I received a message from the seller of the other Glencroft who had stopped responding to my messages. He is unemployed and had lost his phone and couldn’t respond to my messages and now he was back and did I still want the house? I had to tell him I had gone with another seller. It’s a good thing. That trip would have been twice as long and the house was $50 more.

Don is in love with this dollhouse, by the way. He can’t stop talking about it!

Anyway, I’ll share more about it on Friday. I’m so happy that it’s here.

I NEED COFFEE.

Stay safe.

Happy Wednesday.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
