A pansy emerged from the urn that is currently full of dead leaves. I noticed it yesterday. I love these late in the season surprises. I planted these in the early spring and there haven’t been any flowers for quite a while. That made my day yesterday.
We have yet to get our flu shots. We saw a sign in the grocery store pharmacy the other day saying they were currently overwhelmed by prescriptions, vaccinations, etc. So we held off. We’ll call today and see if anything is available.
And speaking of vaccinations, stay safe. More positive cases in the cast. There are understudies, of course, but the key point here is: these people are careful. Unless onstage performing, they’re wearing masks. The audience is required to wear masks. And still…
Covid is very much with us and it remains a threat. So many times when I go out, I am one of a few people, if not the only one, wearing a mask. No one confronts me or anything like that. People around here don’t seem fazed if you’re wearing a mask, thank goodness. I realize I’m preaching to the choir here; nevertheless, be careful out there.
Lots of work on the puzzle yesterday. Don was writing a new song. Both of us were totally immersed in what we were doing for a long time. Then we stayed up too late watching something on tv and Don kept snoring and I woke up coughing and the result is that I’m not feeling very rested today.
This, too, shall pass.
Stay safe.
Happy Wednesday.
