How easily my routine gets thrown off! I have to go pick up groceries this morning, but before that I have to get gas as my car is almost on empty. I haven’t pumped gas since this whole thing started. Don has been the one to do that. But since my honey is still ill, I will have to be the one to gas up. Anyway, a new experience for yours truly while in lockdown is on the docket for this morning and it was only just now that I realized I had to write this post before I go.
I’m thrown, I tell you!
Don was downstairs until about 3:00 yesterday afternoon. Then he felt utterly exhausted and went back to bed until dinner time. We watched Frasier (including one of the two episodes Don appeared in – that was fun!) and then I tucked him into bed. I keep reminding him that feeling stronger takes some time. He misses his morning walks, so I encouraged him to go outside and walk our driveway and the trail up in our woodsย (just one loop) and he’ll feel better. A short bit of time outside will help him. He just left, broad-brimmed hat covering his head, as doxycycline carries warnings about being in the sun while taking it.
I’ve been cooking dinner for over seven nights now. I look forward to the day when Don resumes his chef duties, as he’s much better at this than I.
It’s quite beautiful out there right now. It will reach 89 today, but I think the humidity will be lower. Fingers crossed.
I realize this isn’t all that newsy, but life lately has been about taking care of Don, suffering through my own bout of allergies-from-excess-humidity yesterday, and staying cool. One good thing; Don had a good night of sleep last night, he slept a lot. And that’s just what he needs now.
Stay safe.
Happy Tuesday.
