Well, what do you know? It’s the birthday of two of my favorite people!
First up.
You just might recognize this guy. He’s the love of my life, a love that I never thought would come my way, but miracle of miracles – he did. There’s not a day I don’t thank God for him.
I love this photo because it shows his kind eyes. And he is kind. And caring, compassionate, funny, wise, enthusiastic, joyful, loving, always willing to help others, witty, incredibly talented, and just plain GOOD. He is a good person who brings joy wherever he goes.
He’s 68 today. And he’s never been better.
Happy Birthday, sweetheart. May everything that’s good come your way. May the joy you give others be returned to you tenfold.

And next up.
This guy. Speaking of spreading joy wherever he goes, this nephew of mine does that every day. He is magical. He is incredibly smart and funny and brave and determined and he is a blessing. He’s obsessed with elevators – we had another FaceTime yesterday wherein we discussed All Things Elevator. He makes us laugh. We make him laugh (the crazy performing aunt and uncle).
He is 8 years old today. How did he get so big, so fast?
Happy Birthday, Little Z! We love you beyond measure. I know you will take the world by storm.
Don told me he just wants a ‘normal’ day here at home, playing his guitar, spending time with me. Okay by me.

Happy Birthday to Don and Little Z! Don is one year younger then I am and Little Z is the same age as my Tiger. Good ages for all I must say! We had a great family dinner last night and Tiger and Scout just made me so happy. Life is good!
