Long Days and Tulips

April 24, 2010 at 10:13 am by Claudia

Thought I’d say a quick hello to everyone. The days have been long here. The artistic director arrived in time for Thursday’s rehearsal. Everyone is treading very carefully; that’s about all I feel I can say. I will be in for a lot of coaching work next week. I’ve felt that I should be there most of the day this week, so I couldn’t attend the Barn Sale. Do you remember the Barn Sale from my stay here last year? Linda has now moved it to a permanent location and it is called the Urban Barn. The good news is that the store is open 5 days a week, but the special sale is still once a month. Next month…

I’m still adjusting to the time difference. That, along with long days at rehearsal, has made me very tired. I’ve been trying to visit everyone and leave a comment but I must confess that some nights I just can’t do it. My brain won’t let me form a sentence. So, I apologize and assure you that it will get better.

I did have two free hours in the middle of the day yesterday which I used to do laundry and run to Trader Joe’s. My food supply was dwindling quickly. These tulips were $3.99. I love the pink and pale yellow combination.

I’ve been walking to and from the theater every day. I think the distance is about 2 miles. Maybe I’m getting in shape?

Have a wonderful weekend.

Please don’t work to hard. Take a moment and enjoy those Tulips. At least you have a T.J.s near by. One of my favorites, here.

    Enjoy your Saturday,
    Kate

The tulips are so very pretty! We’re into autumn down here but it’s lovely to see all the spring flowers on the Northern Hemisphere blogs.

Take care of yourself Claudia, that’s way more important than leaving us blog comments (much as we love to be loved, LOL).

A barn sale sounds so exciting! How fun. Hopefully next week you will be able to get there.
The walking is great. Good for you!
I hope this next week is better and that your body gets used to the time zone there.
    Hugs to you,

Glad work is going well!! I LOVE Trader Joe’s! I usually only buy flowers there because they are so inexpensive and last forever! But the local grocery had pink/purple tulips for $3.99 and I needed a cheery thing to add to the house! I am really enjoying them! Hope yours last too! ♥

A sweet hello from Frog Hollow Farm. You sound like you are a pro at this adventure in San Diego – I imagine that it’s both exhilirating and exhausting on a daily basis. Flowers are a wonderful pick-me-up and the tulips you chose are lovely! Hope they last forever! We’ve been away for about 10 days so my posts have been scare, but I hope to have one up and running tomorrow. Ciao, bella!

You needn’t ever worry about visiting me, sweetie. I’m just always happy to see you, when I see you.

Things sound a bit stressful. I too find solace in a bouquet or some other simple pleasure when things are feeling that way. This is sure a pretty vignette, you’ve created.

Walking can become a time of reflection too. I hope things ease up soon.

    Take care,

    xo

Wish I was there to walk with you. It would give me an incentive. Love the tulips. You need to keep surrounding yourself with pretty flowers while you’re away from your garden. You’re making that place look mighty nice!

    Hi Claudia!

    Beautiful tulips!

Isn’t that magazine just wonderful? Elizabeth Maxson is one of my heroes, so you know that I snatched it up right away.

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
