Off on a Little Trip

October 1, 2009 at 7:37 am by Claudia

I’m off on a trip to Chattanooga for a few days. I will be working on The Wizard of Oz – you remember that I coached the National Tour last year? This is the second tour with many new cast members. Should be fun! I will be back on Sunday. I’ve never been to Chattanooga and I have a feeling I won’t see too much as I’m only there two days.

I’m taking some knitting, a book to read, my script and my new copy of Jeanne d’Arc Living – the new English language version. I’ve forced myself not to peek inside so that I can have it with me on the trip!

We’ve been glued to the television every night watching Ken Burns’ new series on The National Parks. Gorgeous. Brilliant. I’ve learned so much! Husband and I would like to just hop in a Winnebago and take off on a tour of all these wonders. Maybe some day…

I’ll blog something or other while I am away. Stay tuned.

Pet Parade Party

September 29, 2009 at 5:06 pm by Claudia

My friend, Kelee, is having a blog party today to celebrate all the scarves that were decorated by pet loving bloggers. Enough scarves were decorated to meet her goal of donating $2000.00 to help pets who have been abandoned because of foreclosures. She has made a video that you can view at her blog, KatillacShack. Please join us as we celebrate our beloved pets and all the pets that need homes.

Here is one of the scarves that I decorated while I was in San Diego – I used fabric that I was using in a quilt top I was sewing at the time.

Scoutie in her scarf.

Riley in his scarf.

So many animals need homes. Many have been abandoned in this uncertain time. Please help out. Each link to Kelee’s Pet Parade Party will add $3.00 to the fund and each comment left at Kelee’s will earn an additional $1.00. Can you think of a better way to spend some blogging time?

Happy Birthday, Daddy

September 28, 2009 at 9:13 am by Claudia

Happy Birthday, Dad! My Dad is 86 years young today. This photo is of Daddy and I on a visit to meet Santa. Look at my Dad’s snappy hat! What a handsome guy my Dad is….I look pretty bundled up, don’t I? Our visits to Santa at our local department store, Muirheads, were always magical and we got to ride on a little train, too. I love this photo.

Wish I could be there with you, Daddy – I love you.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
