Don’s father, Lee Sparks, left us yesterday afternoon. He was 90 years old. He worked selling real estate into his 80’s. What a wonderful man he was and how lucky I am to have known and loved him.
Sadness

Don arrived home yesterday morning after flying all night long – sad to leave his father, happy to be home. Yesterday afternoon we found out my father-in-law had taken a turn for the worse in the hours after Don left. The doctor has said there is no hope. Even the strongest antibiotic has failed to help. And now we wait. Don is heartbroken.
Bless you, dear Lee.
Life in the Garden, Square #23

More proof of life in the garden…oh, my lovelies are returning! I spent time on Sunday wandering around the yard and garden taking photos.

As seen through the gazing ball.
Don’s father is still the same. Don took the red-eye from San Diego last night and will get in this morning around 10:00. We continue to hope that Lee recovers fully.
I had only a brief amount of time to come up with square #23:

In keeping with my garden theme, a very simple tribute to my hostas.
